Pastor Greg Stephenson
Sometimes it’s the brief things that communicate the most. Billy Graham’s epitaph reads: “Preacher of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 14:6” As for me, I pray that mine will be able to say: “Greg Stephenson, A servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.” By God’s grace, that will be possible. God has made Himself known in my life and granted me the faith to respond. Now, as a child of our heavenly Father, I am assured that He will complete the work He has begun. My wife, Traci, has also received His indescribable gift and knows the hope of eternal life. Having granted grace upon grace, He has brought us into full time service for more than twenty years.
We met at Grace Community Church in 1996 and were married within a year. Something about being in your thirties that makes you more certain of the right one! When we married, Traci was on staff at The Master’s College (now university). Greg was on the pastoral staff at Grace Community. After finishing seminary, having our son and six years of serving at GCC, we were called to another church in Southern California where Greg served as Associate Pastor for eight years. Then in 2010 we began serving in New Zealand where Greg has taught, led and administrated a Bible College, served as an elder, church planter and pastor. The goals have been met for our ministry in NZ and now we are excited to minister here in Medicine Hat.
